It is important for asthmatics to do breathing exercises to help with their asthma. If these exercises are done on a daily basis one will see notable improvement in their breathing capacity and have less of a need for rescue inhalers. One breathing exercises, is to sit it in a chair with feet flat on the floor and hands in the lap. Inhale gently through the nose until you cannot fill your lungs with any more air. Do not slouch because the diaphragm will not allow air to fill the lungs sufficiently, so sit up straight, keeping the back straight, but relax chest and stomach muscles. Do not tense your muscles.
